A contractor organised around accountability.
Ugratara Infrastructure was built to remove the gap between what is designed, what is priced and what is delivered — by keeping engineering, procurement and construction under one team that answers for the outcome.
Where the company came from.
[PLACEHOLDER — founding narrative to be confirmed] Ugratara Infrastructure began as a civil works contractor delivering building and municipal road packages in the Kathmandu valley.
The work that followed — bridges, hill roads, hydropower civils, industrial facilities — required something the original structure could not provide: engineers with authority on site, procurement planned against the programme rather than the activity, and reporting that told clients the truth early enough to act on it.
The company was reorganised around those three requirements. Today, project delivery, engineering coordination, HSEQ and procurement operate as distinct functions, with HSEQ reporting independently to the executive so that safety and quality findings cannot be filtered by the people whose programme they affect.
We work across Nepal — from dense urban sites where the constraint is access, to remote energy projects where the constraint is the season.

Operating model
EPC & construct-only
To deliver infrastructure that creates lasting economic and social value through engineering excellence, responsible construction and dependable execution.
To become one of the region's most trusted infrastructure partners, recognised for quality, safety, innovation and long-term impact.
Seven commitments, written as behaviour.
Values that cannot be observed on a site are decoration. Each of these describes something a client, an auditor or a worker can check.
- 01
Integrity
Commercial transparency, honest reporting and decisions that hold up to scrutiny — from tender to defect liability.
- 02
Safety
Project-specific safety planning, daily briefings and the authority for any worker to stop unsafe work without consequence.
- 03
Quality
Inspection and test plans agreed before work begins, with hold points signed off against approved drawings and specifications.
- 04
Accountability
One named team owns the programme, the budget and the outcome. Issues are raised early, in writing, with a remedy attached.
- 05
Collaboration
Early contractor involvement with designers, consultants and clients to resolve constructability before mobilisation.
- 06
Innovation
Proven methods applied intelligently — improved formwork cycles, better temporary works, digital progress tracking.
- 07
Sustainability
Material efficiency, controlled waste streams and slope, water and dust management designed into the method statement.
How decisions get made.
Three rules that determine how the company is run day to day.
- 01
Engineers decide, on site
Design coordination, temporary works and method statements are owned by chartered engineers with site authority — not resolved by correspondence weeks later.
- 02
One accountable team
A single project director carries the programme, cost and quality position from award to handover, supported by a fixed core team.
- 03
Report before you're asked
Clients receive the same progress, cost and risk data our own board reviews, on a fixed reporting cycle.
