Reinstatement of 3.2 km of hill road after monsoon slope failure, combining emergency access restoration with permanent stabilisation and drainage.
The road was the only access route for 14 settlements, and remained partially blocked at three points.
Further failure risk was active during the works, with continuing rainfall through the first two months.
Permanent solutions had to be designed while emergency clearance was already under way.
Emergency clearance restored controlled single-lane access within 11 days, ahead of permanent works design completion.
Failure mechanisms were assessed zone by zone; four zones required drainage correction rather than structural retention, reducing cost and construction time.
Slope monitoring with rain-triggered stop-work thresholds protected the workforce during the residual monsoon period.
Bio-engineering — vegetative planting on completed slopes — was used to sustain surface stability after handover.

A 180-metre, four-span river crossing replacing a seasonal causeway that closed the corridor for up to eleven weeks each monsoon. Substructure was built inside a single low-flow window using staged cofferdams.
Reconstruction of 6.5 km of city streets with covered drainage, footpaths and utility coordination, sequenced so each street was opened only once.
